CEP 811  Adapting Innovative Technology To Education

Tammy McGinity

In CEP 811, we took what we learned in CEP 810 and made practical activities based on what we had worked upon.  The assignments we completed were activities that we could use immediately in classrooms.    Projects we completed included a Stand Alone Instructional Resource (StAIR), a website, and a goal-directed lesson plan.

CEP 815  Lrn School & Other Settings

N. Sheltrown, L. Wolf

CEP 815 taught me about how technology affects teaching in the classroom and how students learn.  We analyzed the relationships between learning, technology, and leadership and how the purchase and use of technology does not guarantee increased student achievement.  I gained knowledge about the TPACK model, and through this model, I discovered how teaching, lesson planning, and technology need to be interconnected.

CEP 805  Learning Math with Technology

R. Putnam

The basis of this course was analyzing the many websites available for students to utilize and for teachers to include as part of their lesson plans.  Additionally, CEP 822 made me aware of how students learn and misconceptions of what and how students learn.  The main project was a web resource library which provided a detailed description of and analysis of multiple math websites that support learning and teaching.

Matthew Koehler, Andrea Zellner, Joshua Rosenberg, & William Cain

This is the final course in the MAET program.  The major activities I completed had me reflecting upon the goals I set when I started the MAET program and synthesizing all of the lessons I have learned.  I produced a porfolio that included a resume, reflective and synthesis essays, an annotated transcript, and a showcase of many of the technology-based projects I completed during my time in the Master's program.
